Fun times in California

In August we were lucky enough to spend two and half weeks in California. This was Isabelle's big debut for most family and friends on the West Coast. She showed off and her big brother was extremely happy with all the extra attention.

We enjoyed some wonderful playdates with the Sanchez family
It was fun to introduce Isa to our dearest friends
And of course, we paid a visit to Dodger Stadium
Celebrated even more, Daniel's Bday, swim fest, etc.

Elmo Water Fun

This summer has had such iffy weather. Lots of rainy days, but a few weeks ago, we had a nice morning and we had some water fun with our pals. We brought over our Elmo sprinkler head and the kids had a blast. David really loved jumping in puddles and splashing around. He is also obsessed with pushing strollers around. Notice how David pulls his cap all the way down over his glasses :)

Isabelle at one month

It's really hard to believe that our little Isabelle is already 7 weeks old. She is so much fun, such a distinct personality already, so girly! She is still mostly eating, pooping and sleeping, but is now spending more time awake. She smiles at us and loves the commotion that is her big brother David. Isa has amazing head control, she is super strong, and she already turned from her stomach to her back during tummy time. Here are some fun pictures and video of her charming us.

Visiting Brown

In Andrew's quest to visit all the Ivy League schools while we are on the East Coast, we stopped by Brown University during our trip to Rhode Island. It is a beautiful campus with lots of charm. We made it just in time for a guided tour. Andrew was able to see everything while I stayed with our napping children. David was not feeling well, again :( that day and Isa just chilled in the stroller. By lunch time we got it together to have a nice picnic lunch on their Green, a little soccer fun, and then the lawn needed to be trimmed, so we moved on to the Providence Place Mall (my new favorite shopping center on the East Coast).

Felchs visit Felchs in Rhode Island

A couple of weeks ago we traveled down to see our only family on the east coast, Uncle Richard and Aunt Carol in Rhode Island. The drive went remarkably well with the two little ones, especially since David had been a bit sick. We had a nice visit, it's such a beautiful state. The area in which they built their home is amazing, walking distance from both the beach and a pond. Their home is nearly complete, with very impressive views. We enjoyed a nice visit, eating and catching up. Uncle Richard and Aunt Carol really enjoyed meeting Isabelle and helping us out, as David was sick and grumpy, we really needed their help. We hope to return soon with David in better spirits so that we can enjoy the beach and chat some more.
All smiles for my family

David's First Day at School

At the beginning of July, the reality of having two children really hit us. The rest of our family needed to return to California and we were on our own. David really misses the extra playmates and attention and Andrew really misses my mom's cooking. I miss it all, but this is what real life is. We are very glad that David's school (Toddler Morning Out) had a summer program for the month of July, 3 mornings a week I have a little break. The first day of TMO went way better then expected. My mom was still here so Andrew and I were able to take him together and leave Isa at home. David had no problem staying, he was totally entertained by the train table, he didn't even notice us leave. Andrew and I enjoyed a nice breakfast date without any calls from his school. Now every school day I just tell him get your backpack it's time to go to school, he rushes to the door, puts on his cap and backpack and stands by the door. David really enjoys going to a place that is just for him, such a big boy!
